Project Description

Another great installation in the Manawatu for Liam and Spela Marshall. Here they sharemilk for Eddie and Margret Millard milking 350 cows through a 30 unit herringbone. The milking platform is 130 hectares and additional supplements of maize and PK are fed. Liam, who is originally from the UK, came to New Zealand 20 years ago on a 12 month OE and on his adventures met Spela who is originally from Slovenia. Both originally from farming roots, they had a common interest and pleased to be using it here in New Zealand.

“Choosing MilktechNZ® and their CR-1 electronic cup removers for us was an easy decision” said Liam. “Craig from MilktechNZ® was very professional and accurate with his knowledge on the equipment and along with word of mouth from other users, this insured we were investing with the right company. The gear looks and works great and the features of the technology speaks for itself. Along with the CR-1 cup removers we also installed new MilktechNZ® MC-1 high capacity claws and we are seeing immediate improvements with improved milk out and reduced cup slip.”

Liam also says the cup removers have given them more time with their children, Evan and Anja, which allows more time for fishing or down ripping up the local mountain bike tracks.

From the team at MilktechNZ® we would like to say a big thank you!
