Project Description

A true slam dunk for MilktechNZ® and our newest customer Ashley and Maxine Sheriff. The Sheriffs, who are based near Clandeboye, milk 440 cows through their 38 unit herringbone. MilktechNZ® CR-1 electronic cup removers with swimngarms were installed first and then added were the MilktechNZ® CW-1 cluster washers, P-1 pulsators and MC-1 milking clusters to give them the full house.
Ricky Stephens, who contract milks for the Sheriffs, said, “there were so many great features to the MilktechNZ® system. We love it. We are dealing with a 100% New Zealand owned company – designed and made here, and people that know what they are talking about. Labour continues to be a major issue in the industry and cup removers have allowed me to milk on my own without the concerns of over milking. Swingarms have allowed for better cluster positioning and we have seen much improved milk out. We then added new pulsation to the system and went for one pulsator per bail and these run through the cup removers allowing for a quieter shed and less wear and tear due to only running during milking of the cow and washing. We also love that we can change the milking parameters with ease through my phone – brilliant! Finally, all I can say is the system is brilliant and my SCC has been the lowest it has ever been.”
From MilktechNZ® many thanks to Ashley and Maxine and to Ricky for stepping up for the picture.
